2015 VW Beetle vs Fiat 500

If you just think of the Volkswagen Beetle as a cute little bug, there may be more to it that you know.  In a comparison against the Fiat 500, the Beetle is the clear performance winner.  Take a look at the differences in what their inline 4-cylinder engines produce:

Horsepower- VW Beetle:  170 hp   Fiat 500-  135 hp
Torque-         VW Beetle:  184 ft-lbs @ 1500 rpm   Fiat 500-  150 ft-lbs @ 2500 rpm

The base Beetle also features a 6-Speed shiftable automatic transmission as standard equipment, as opposed to the standard 5-speed manual on the similarly-priced 500.
